- אָזַר(b. h.; √זר, cmp. זרז, אֶזְרֹועַ) to put around, girdle; to strengthen. Hithpa. הִתְאַזָּר to gird, strengthen ones self. Ber.16b ותִתְאַזָּרוכ׳ and gird thyself with thy mercy.
